THE world’s largest cruise ship will launch next year – with new routes from Europe next summer.

Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, their fifth Oasis-class ship, will accommodate 6,800 passengers, featuring the tallest slide at sea, an all-new neighborhood and a ten-deck zipline.

The new ship, launched from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the Caribbean in March 2022, will then sail to Barcelona and Rome, for voyages starting in May.

On board the ship, there are eight neighborhoods to explore, the most recent being the Suite Class neighborhood for suite guests, which features an elevated terrace with a plunge pool, wet bar, and solarium.

Guests can stroll through Central Park, an area full of plants and flowers, while kids can visit the Wonder Playscape, an interactive outdoor playground, or the Ultimate Abyss, the highest water slide in the sea.

The Flowrider surf simulator, two climbing walls and a ten-bridge high zipline are also on board.

If you want to splurge you can opt for the Ultimate Family Suite – for 10 people there’s a cinema in the suite, a looped slide and ping-pong table, as well as a hot tub on the balcony and VIP benefits, including free drinks and personalized experiences.

Otherwise, there are a range of room types, including Interior and Ocean View Rooms, Balcony Rooms, and Virtual Balcony Rooms.

Royal Caribbean CEO Michael Bayley said, “The momentum that is taking off from reservations and our return ships in the US and Europe is significant. With half of our fleet sailing again, we are encouraged by what we are seeing.

The seven-night European tours will stop in Mallorca, Spain and Capri, Italy, while the Florida trip will stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island, CocoCay.

Reservations for European crossings will be available from September 22, prices not yet revealed.

Content creator Stephen of Curveline Films gave an interior view of the Ultimate Family Suite on the two-story Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas ship.

The suite is the ship’s most expensive, however, and Stephen has said it can cost guests anywhere from $ 44,000 (£ 31,771) to $ 80,000 (£ 57,639) “depending on how busy they are.”
