The steepest roller coasters in the world

I love roller coasters. And, to me, the bigger, faster, and more terrifying, the better. Although I have never been to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, now there is another reason to go. This particular ground is brand new and is one hundred and fifty feet high.
Check out Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger, who has claimed the title of “the steepest roller coaster in the world!” Here is a taste.
Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger will open to the public in 2022, but it’s already generating tons of buzz online. I have to be honest. This 95 degree drop looks absolutely INSANE!
I’ve been on a roller coaster with steep drops before, but none are as crazy as this one.
Years ago (mid-90s) I drove on Desperado, which is located at Buffalo Bills in Primm, Nevada, outside of Las Vegas. At that time, it was billed as THE tallest roller coaster in the world. I will say it was huge and the first drop was incredibly steep. If you were sitting in the front seat, it was almost impossible to see the tracks under you. Looked!
Interestingly, Theme Park Review, when they shared this particular video in 2014, was curious about how Desperado would rank today. As you can see (From Dr. Diabolical’s video, roller coasters got taller, faster and steeper. Rides like Desperado were, in many ways, the prototypes of today’s roller coasters. like Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger and Kings Island’s Orion, which last year opened as the 7th giga-coaster on the planet. By the way, if you haven’t seen this yet or haven’t had the chance to climb, take a look!
Here’s the Theme Park Review multi-angle video of this ride.
So what do you think? Are you ready for an adventure “fiesta” in Texas, which next year will officially be home to the world’s steepest roller coaster? If so, fasten your seat belt. It’s going to be an “evil” race.
