The Off-Central Players Announce Spring 2022 Season

After opening their doors seven months ago and five productions now under their belt, The Off-Central Players are heading into 2022 with a spring season schedule for everyone.

From stand-up comedy and cabaret to the Shakespeare Festival, musicals and feature films, Bay Area residents can expect something new almost every month. The season begins with a comedy night on February 5 with Ward Smith and Friends. February 20 brings Michael Horn’s solo performance in MAYDAY Captain Lerro and the Skyway Bridge written by St. Petersburg author Bill DeYoung.

In March, The Big Break Youth Stage presents The Wizard of Oz followed by theater favorite Roxanne Fay in the gripping play Breadcrumbs. April, Saint Peter. Shakes – offers lessons focusing on the acting skills and analysis needed to perform Shakespeare for actors over 18, as well as a birthday celebration for bards. May features a “limited engagement” with the original play, Into The Night, a Theater Exceptional co-production and finally in June, the popular two-handed musical The Last 5 Days. It all takes place at Studio Grand Central, an intimate theatre, gallery and performance venue in the heart of St. Petersburg’s bustling Grand Central district.
