Ridgefield Playhouse almost doubles the size of the lobby, bathrooms, adds a VIP room and a piano bar

One of our city’s greatest economic engines just got a makeover, paving the way for more arts and culture in the great city of Ridgefield!

Congratulations to The Ridgefield Playhouse, its leader for more than two decades, Allison Stockel! Yes – the first major renovation since the theater opened in 2000, The Ridgefield Playhouse is leaping into the future!

Nearly doubling its footprint by expanding into the former Board of Education space, The Ridgefield Playhouse now has a spacious lobby for guests (even lounging areas and a huge piano bar!) have tripled in size (and look gorgeous – see image #3).

Interested in hosting a pre-concert party? You can do it. There’s now a special VIP room with lots of windows, a bar, and tons of space to mingle.

The concession area has also grown – any favorite movies or concerts are a little bigger (and better).

Large murals of iconic Ridgefield locations will soon fill the walls – yes, you’ve now arrived in a town considered Connecticut’s cultural destination.

And, behind the curtain, there is more awesomeness. Ridgefield Playhouse artists have privacy – locker rooms, showers, and space to collaborate and spark their creative energy.

Some of the world‘s greatest musicians have not only performed in Ridgefield, Connecticut, but they have also shopped here and dined at our restaurants! Congratulations to Stockel and his team who brought renowned artists to Ridgefield.

The list of musical notables is long, here are a few: Southside Johnny (pictured with Stockel), Bruce Hornsby, George Thorogood, Colbie Callait, Brett Michaels, Boz Scaggs, Judy Collins, kd Lang, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Steven Stills, David Crosby and the Beach Boys. And, they come back, year after year.

From concerts and plays to educational events and movies, the Ridgefield Playhouse is synonymous with exceptional entertainment – close to home.

Kudos to you, Allison Stockel and The Ridgefield Playhouse! You did it!
