I sent a mission to our excellent Broadway World Cabaret penpals asking, “Would you please make a list of your favorites of the year?” A ‘Best of’ genre? Of course, some of our early re-emergence reporters didn’t stay with us long enough to have a list of this nature, and some of the newer writers haven’t built a CV long enough to create anything yet. like that . There are however three correspondents who did not wait a moment to return the text message saying: “Yes! And .. Voila! ”And“ On that! ”Our brilliantly gifted photojournalist, Helane Blumfield, was the first to rise to the challenge and, today, Helane’s choices stepped in, accompanied by a note saying,“ You understand that was impossible, right? ”, Which, of course, I did.
