Love Island fans fear for Gemma Owen as they spot Luca Bish’s ‘red flags’
Gemma Owen and Luca Bish’s time as an official coupled pair came to an end on Sunday night’s episode of Love Island, with some ITV2 viewers delighted the dressage star is now free from the Brighton fishmonger.
Love Island fans have pleaded with Gemma Owen to reconsider pairing up with Luca Bish, as they point to her ‘red flags’.
The villa was rocked on the latest episode of the ITV2 show, as new girl Danica Taylor’s shock decision on a re-coupling left one of the show’s original couples torn.
After viewers met bombshell Danica on Friday night’s catch-up, Love Island fans were warned things were about to get serious.
Standing by the hearth for a re-coupling on Sunday evening, Danica revealed the boy who caught her eye was Luca – opting to pair up with the Brighton fishmonger.
Lucas looked seething with the villa newbie’s decision, kissing Gemma on the cheek before reluctantly sitting down next to Danica.
He continued to look devastated and confessed to Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu that he was “angry” to be separated from Gemma – who later teamed up with Davide Sanclimenti.
Luca’s bitter reaction to having a new bedmate in the villa did not go unnoticed by viewers watching at home.
“Nah sorry, always red flags from rude men to women they aren’t interested in, you can’t muster some basic respect and kindness just because you don’t want to like her?? ?? OK #loveisland“, a disappointed fan took to Twitter to share while the show aired.
“Is luca obsessed with gemma a red flag or am i paranoid? was starting to like gemma but now im sorry for her cause luca is a red flag #loveisland.”
Some apparently disagreed – arguing that Michael Owen’s teenage daughter is actually the one who wields the power in their budding relationship.
“Has anyone noticed how many times Gemma stomped on Luca’s #loveisland kiss attempt,” one tweeted, while another observed, “Gemma also knows that ‘she [sic] has the power, knows Luca’s cats for her and he hits, she likes the attention not him #loveisland.”
A third, just like the two stars as a couple in general, sharing: “Starting to love Gemma, she and Luca have something special. Luca seems like a good boy who can tell he really loves her, bless him #LoveIsland.”
Sunday night’s installment of Love Island saw one-time bombshell Remi Lambert kicked out of the villa in a big twist during the recoupling drama.
Fans of the ITV2 show expected Davide to get the boot – but after new girl Danica Taylor, a dancer from Leicester, chose to partner Luca – leaving Gemma to choose someone else .
She settled on Davide, and along with all the other confirmed couples, including Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Jay Younger, that meant Manchester model Remi was kicked out of the villa.
