Keene Arts Launches June Concert Series with Trillium Chamber Players –

Join Adirondack favorites, the Trillium Chamber Players, on Sunday, June 5e at Keene Arts at 4:00 p.m. for a delicious afternoon of classical music for voice, viola and piano. Viola player Patricia McCarty, pianist Timothy Mount and soprano Amy Nelson will perform works from Bach to Gershwin, including Brahms’ much-loved songs Longing at Rest and Cradle Song of the Virgin, lively Romanian dances by Ferenc Farkas and the lush and exotic songs of early 20th century American composer Charles Martin Loeffler to poems by Verlaine and Baudelaire.

Keene Arts will add additional concerts in June, including a jazz piano trio at 4 p.m. June 25. The trio consists of Gene Baker on piano, Matt Dunne on bass and Mike Lewandowski on drums. The trio will perform the music of Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck and jazz standards from the 1940s to the 1970s.

The final performance of the Keene Arts concert series will feature a different set of performers as part of the Trillium Chamber Players on Saturday, July 9th at 16

Janice Kyle, oboe; Janine Scherline, clarinet; and Timothy Mount, piano, perform a wide range of repertoire from classics by Mozart and Schubert to bold new repertoire by Reena Esmail and Oscar Navarro.

trill often collaborates with artists such as Patricia McCarty, former assistant principal violist of the Boston Symphony; Marilyn Reynolds, long-time violinist with St Lukes Orchestra; Metropolitan Opera finalist, Amy Nelson; Robin Cameron-Phillips; and independent cellist, Brian Donat.

The acoustics of Keene Arts, located at 10881 State Route 73, are ideal for small ensembles and the surrounding art provides a tranquil and inspiring atmosphere for guests.

Keene Arts represents a number of artists who all have a special connection to the Adirondacks that is depicted in their work.
