Frankenmuth Creates Michigan’s Largest Indoor Water Park

Frankenmuth is about to go down in Michigan state history.

According to Yahoo! News, the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth will expand its current indoor water park and family entertainment center by 100,000 square feet, making it the largest indoor water park in the state of Michigan.

Bavarian Inn Lodge President Michael Keller Zehnder noted that the upgrade will create “unique attractions and new types of experiences, within our resort, for all ages.”

The new expansion will introduce over 20 new attractions, including a large indoor wave pool, an adults-only swim-up bar, a new series of water slides and more.

When will the new additions to the water park be open?

If you’re wondering when you and the kids will be able to enjoy the new amenities on your Frankenmuth vacation, it’s going to take a little while. Groundbreaking and construction will take place on December 13, with “some new areas of the family entertainment center” opening in late fall 2023, with the expectation that the remaining attractions will open in spring 2024. So , at the time of this announcement, you’ve got about a year and a half to go until the newest and biggest expansion opens.

Don’t worry though, you’ll still be able to enjoy current offerings of swimming pools, waterslides, indoor mini-golf, arcade games and more during construction.
