The Black Ensemble Theater will reopen its doors this fall for live performances starting October 1, 2021. Black Ensemble Theater will kick off its pre-opening with another type of exciting entertainment called Concert Cabaret. This fun, uplifting, inspiring and calming concert cabaret series will feature inspirational spoken word, comedic vignettes and great music. The series is designed to move audiences through the challenges and uncertainties of the times with a strong message of faith and hope.

The pre-opening is not the start of the regular season. The Four Play Excellence Season will be announced at a later date.

The founder of the Black Ensemble Theater, Executive Director Jackie Taylor, says “Due to the challenges and uncertainties brought about by the pandemic, the Black Ensemble Theater is moving forward slowly, cautiously and cautiously. In an effort to ensure the safety of our audience, the Concert Cabarets will last 80 minutes with no intermission. The concessions will not be sold. Everyone entering the building must wear a mask and we ask that the masks remain in place at all times until people are outside the building. There will also be hand sanitizers throughout the building. For reasons of social distancing, the public will be limited to 80 people. And of course, a deep cleaning will take place after each performance. We know that our audience is used to big castings but, with the security measures we have taken for our artists, technicians and volunteers, the Concert Cabaret cast will be small but powerful! that they will be receptive and adapt to changes. “

The Concert Cabaret series will feature a medley of musical styles including jazz, gospel, pop, rock, soul and blues. Each concert will feature a variety of music including old school, new school and in between.

The Black Ensemble Theater Concert Cabaret series is guaranteed to lift your spirits and soothe your soul. Join us for all three concerts and make a happy noise – let the music move you.

Tickets cost $ 45 and are available at www.blackensembletheater.org. or by calling the box office at 773-769-4451. No contact ticket office is available.
